[Tableware and Rice] Let's gather together to enjoy Kyushu's delicious "Motsunabe" hotpot

The hotpot season has arrived.

In Fukuoka, where I'm from and where the Maeda family company is located, "Motsunabe" is a home-cooked dish. If you buy cabbage and Chinese chives, you can have a delicious meal, and it's a recommended menu for busy working moms and dads.

The Maeda family has also introduced a new dish called "Motsunabe," so we'd like to introduce it to you right away.

The soft and juicy domestic black-haired wagyu beef offal sips with every bite. When you put it in your mouth, it tastes sweet at first. The more you chew it, the more delicious it becomes, making the Maeda family's motsunabe twice as delicious.
Even if you don't like oily food, when you cook it in hot pot, the excess fat dissolves into the soup, and the offal itself retains its concentrated flavor.

Soft and chewy domestically produced offal

The fresh, juicy small intestines have just the right amount of chewiness, a soft texture, and a melt-in-the-mouth sweetness.
The soup is soy sauce-based. It's a classic Hakata staple. We'll also deliver champon noodles for the final dish. If you buy cabbage and chives at the supermarket, you can enjoy a delicious motsunabe at home.

Ingredients for motsunabe

Maeda family's motsunabe (soup, motsunabe, champon noodles)
650ml water
Half a head of cabbage 1 bag of chives 1 block of tofu

How to make it

This time I added cabbage, chives, and tofu. If you want to bulk it up, add bean sprouts.
Simply dilute the soy sauce-based concentrated soup with 650ml of water.

The trick to making this is to pile the cabbage in the middle, the offal on the left, and the tofu on the right. Then, place the chives cut into 3-4cm pieces vertically in the middle. This way of presentation will instantly make it look like you'd get it at a restaurant!
If you can handle spicy food, simply top the chives with the chili peppers provided and it's done.

The motsunabe will arrive frozen.

The Maeda family's motsunabe is delivered frozen. It's a slim size that doesn't take up much space, so we recommend stocking it in your freezer.

What condiments or side dishes would you like to eat with motsunabe?

Yuzu pepper

"Yuzu kosho" is an essential accompaniment for hotpot in Fukuoka. It is a versatile seasoning originating from Kyushu, made by peeling the yuzu, finely chopping the outer skin, and rubbing it with raw green chili peppers and salt.

The Maeda family's long-selling "Additive-free Green Yuzu Pepper" has a light taste and a refreshing flavor. It goes well with rich motsunabe (hot pot). Of course, it contains no artificial seasonings or colorings.

While most yuzu kosho are bottled, Maeda-ya uses a tube type that is easy to use. This is surprisingly easy to use. Speaking of side dishes that go well with yuzu kosho, gyoza is also recommended! Small bite-sized gyoza are a staple in Hakata. Please enjoy them with motsunabe.

When coordinating the table, I chose a beige color that looks neat and tidy.

The plate has a slight rim, so it can be used for pouring soy sauce or other sauces or for cooking with liquid, which makes it both stylish and functional. You can also stack the plate on top of the bowl, which makes it easy to clean up afterwards.

When eating hot pot, there are often a lot of people, so preparing enough small plates for everyone can be a bit of a hassle.
