Western-style stew of pumpkin and bacon
A colorful and mild-tasting Western-style stew. Perfect for your Christmas menu or dinner.
Ingredients (serves 2-3)
★1 pack of chicken consommé stock ★400ml water
★6g salt
1/4 pumpkin 1 slice of bacon 1 clove of garlic 30g butter
A little dried thyme A bay leaf A little pepper A little parsley (optional) A little Parmesan cheese
How to make it
1. Add the water (★), stock pack, and salt to a pot and boil for about 5 minutes to make the soup.
*Preheat the oven to 180℃.
②Thinly slice the pumpkin , onion, and garlic.
Cut the bacon into 3cm pieces.
3) Layer the onion, pumpkin, bacon, and garlic in the pot, then top with the pumpkin.
④ (③) Place butter, bay leaves, and dried thyme on top of the pumpkin, cover with a paper lid, and heat until the butter melts and the mixture starts to boil. Adjust the heat carefully to prevent it from burning.
⑤Once boiling, transfer to a heat-resistant dish and heat in a 180℃ oven for 80 minutes.
⑥Remove from the oven, place on a plate and top with the soup from ①, parsley and Parmesan cheese.
